Reef Sea

Reef Sea

The Reef Sea is a continent-spanning ocean which dominates the equator of the planet. The two continents of Raavylym and Xol’kuju lie at the poles with multitudes of small islands, lagoons, and sandbars dotting the shallow waters in between. A few islands in the northern hemisphere are inhabited by the Zelu, a nomadic people who hop between islands with the seasons, each year returning to their capital, Qi’taa for the festival of the lunar new year.

Despite the shallow nature of the sea, stories of gigantic “sea monsters” and “krakens” are frequently told by sailors who claim to have seen them in their travels.
